As Neutral As It Gets

I was actually going for neutral here, but I guess I just love colours way too much. I wore this to the cinema, and sadly that was the last time I saw this scarf - I think I left it on the bus. Let's have a moment of silence for my scarf please.

...

Okay, so now I get to go buy a new scarf! Yay!

Thrifted and Altered

I thrifted this dress last year sometime, even though it smelled of Grandma I felt it had potential. So I washed it and wore it, but couldn't shake the feeling something was slightly off about it. The length, I realised - it was an awkward midi length that wasn't exactly ugly but not quite flattering. This is what it used to look like:;

So I hemmed it in my own clumsy way - and by clumsy I mean I made it slightly asymmetric totally by accident. But I love the dress even more now that I've properly made it mine.

I should also add that I bought this cardigan from my mum when I was a teenager and then promptly stole it back from her. Probably convinced myself I was doing her a favour, too...

Neutral Citrus

I get all Gollum-like when I talk about this Cloudrose dress from Deletta, but it really is my prrrrecious. I lusted after it all winter, and by the time it was warm enough to actually wear something like this, it had gone on sale, and then it was mine. My own. My prrrecious.

After reading this post, right here, which suggested looking on Polyvore for other peoples' styling ideas of items you already own, I went and did just that - and came across this cute little outfit. Sure, it was with the Brushed Terra dress (which I also own - what can I say, Deletta brings out my inner Gollum), but I figured that colour combo would work for my precious Cloudrose too. And I was pretty happy with the result.

Also, news flash - having hair is awesome. Instant curtain for when you're feeling shy.
